Cistercian Horizons: Collected Essays

Cet ouvrage, publié en grande partie en anglais, rassemble les réflexions de vingt-six chercheurs à travers dix-huit articles et aborde les thèmes clés des études cisterciennes, notamment les cadres normatifs, les visites et les réformes au sein de l'ordre cistercien. Il explore le caractère distinctif de communautés spécifiques, l'interaction entre l'architecture cistercienne et les textes et pratiques liturgiques, ainsi que l'importance des bibliothèques et des manuscrits cisterciens ibériques. L'ouvrage examine également les caractéristiques matérielles et l'évolution technique de l'ordre cistercien à l'aide de techniques de laboratoire avancées, apportant des contributions cruciales à l'histoire du scriptorium d'Alcobaça dans ses premiers siècles et continuant d'influencer les études cisterciennes aujourd'hui.
